On October 8th at the AIDA World Apnea 2026 Depth Championships in Cyprus, Alexey Molchanov reached 137 meters (449ft) in the men’s Constant Weight (CWT) discipline, setting a new world record and surpassing his previous mark of 136 meters (446ft).
This latest achievement marks Alexey’s 46th world record across a career that has continually redefined what is possible in competitive freediving.
The performance followed months of physical preparation, technical refinement, and precise execution. At this depth, every movement matters, making efficiency, control, and complete trust in both technique and equipment essential.
