May 2023 was a busy month for the competitive freediving world!
Two competitions, the AIDA Oceanquest Philippines 2023 and the AIDA IDA ASIA Depth Challenge, brought forth 3 new AIDA World Records - including 2 new absolute World Records.

While freediving as a way of life goes back hundreds of years, official freediving competitions have only been around since the 1970s. And as freediving grows in popularity, competitions naturally get more popular, too! As a solely freediving organization that provides gear, education, and training, Molchanovs supports competitions to help develop freediving as a sport and grow the freediving community by helping people learn about it.

Molchanovs is looking for videos and reels submitted by freedivers to be featured on official social media channels.
Starting 8 April 2023, a monthly contest will be held for video submissions by the public. Accepted footage includes freedivers showing off their Molchanovs gear OR freedivers participating in Molchanovs courses/training.
