As a freediver, you know the only way to improve is through consistent training. Many of you will spend hours meditating, stretching, doing dry breath work, in the pool or the ocean, just to eek out a couple more metres or seconds than last time. But the brain is a fickle thing. Some days, it is hyper-focused on our goal. Other days, it may focus on everything, or nothing at all.
Love is in the air. Can you feel it? Valentine’s Day is the global celebration that signals the need for public displays of affection (PDAs) with our significant other. This usually results in flowers, gifts, candlelit dinners, and a warm embrace. We historically turn our amorous attention to our partners who share every aspect of our lives. But what about that special someone you keep on the side for special occasions? I’m talking about your dive buddy.
