Dear Freediving Santa…

Dear Freediving Santa…

Fa-la-la-la-la! ’Tis the season to be jolly… and to sport some new freediving gear.

Dear Freediving Santa,

How are you? I hope the North Pole has good visibility this time of year. I’m writing because I’ve been a very good freediver in 2025... or at least I’ve really tried to be. I did my dry training (most days), my stretching (without too much complaining), and I didn’t dive alone, not even when a green turtle gave me that “come on, just one quick dive” look. I even practiced my equalization like I promised.

So, since I’ve been so good, I’m hoping you might... Well, drop off a few freediving goodies from my wish list this holiday season.

My Gift Wish List

The CORE Mask and Snorkel look great above and below the water. © @mai.sailor.

1. CORE Mask and Snorkel - In the holiday spirit, I’d love a matching white set that's stylish, minimal, and perfect for underwater photos. Because if you can’t look good at depth, what’s the point?

2. Silicone Weight Belt - Who says buoyancy and fashion can’t coexist? I’d love one in snow white to complete the look. It’s functional, sleek, and Santa, it matches the mask and snorkel!!!

The CORE Silicone Bifins are soft on your feet, but hard on the water. ©

3. CORE Silicone Bifins - Soft on the feet, strong in the water, and easy to travel with. If it’s not too much trouble, can you make them match my mask, snorkel, and belt? Aesthetic consistency is key, even underwater.

4. CORE Silicone Monofin - I have a few mermaid and merman friends, and I’d love to join their pod! This monofin is perfect for beginners because in 2026, it's time to unleash my inner dolphin.

5. Airline miles to fly to the next great dive spot - Santa, you must have so many miles. Share the love? I promise to put them to good use... somewhere tropical, of course.

The Bifins Backpack 2 is a great way to transport your gear.

6. Short Bifins Backpack 2 - For travel days and training days alike. It fits all of the essentials like fins, laptops, and snacks. Plus, it looks really cool with its slim profile, as I transition from plane to pool deck.

7. Lightweight Poncho Towel - Perfect for drying off, warming up, or changing discreetly. I’ll take one in blue, please — the color of calm and cozy post-dive vibes.

The Pro Wetsuit helps put the Sea into the Season. © @deenajonze.

8. 3mm Pro Wetsuit unlined - I know it’s an investment, but this limestone-based neoprene is warmer, stretchier, and more eco-friendly. I swear I’ll keep my nails trimmed and rinse it every time especially if… you know… nature calls mid-dive.

9. Alexey’s new Foundational Breathwork Course - To train my mind and lungs — not just my depth. This course helps divers (and land mammals) perform better, both above and below the surface. Maybe it’ll be good for you too, Santa!

10. Subscription to Movement Plus - Because great divers are made in the off-season. I’ll even do my dry training mid-flight using those miles you (hopefully) gave me.

Stocking Stuffers I’m also Wishing For

  1. EQ Tool - For fine-tuning my equalization muscles.
  2. Nose Clip - So I can finally go hands-free like the pros.
  3. Fin Keepers - Small but mighty! Keeps my kicks efficient and fins snug.
  4. Reef-safe Sunblock - Protecting both my skin and the sea I love.
  5. A Map to the Best Croissant Bakeries Near Dive Sites - Because nothing says “recovery” like pastry.

Thank you, Santa. I hope when the holidays are over, you’ll have time to relax, slip into a wetsuit, and enjoy a dive yourself.
Happy holidays, and may your breath holds be long, your surface intervals peaceful, and your milk and cookies always fresh.

p.s. The milk and cookies are for you, but the croissants are for the reindeer.
