Pulley systems are still quite a new concept in freediving circles, but they are becoming more known as an essential addition to a freediving buoy/float setup, especially as freedivers begin to dive deeper. But first, what exactly is a pulley system?
Freedivers who have completed a freediving course with the Molchanovs Education System or who are part of the Molchanovs Movement have the opportunity to continue their freediving training after their course is complete. Training in-between courses is important to improve and maintain a wide variety of freediving skills, which is why Base Training was created.

The foundation of freediving training involves having the proper symmetrical kick, which provides optimal performance, helps ensure safety, and keeps the freediver in a state of complete relaxation. It is ideal for beginners to learn this technique with silicone or rubber fins, as they are softer than plastic, fiberglass, or carbon fiber fins. Unfortunately, many silicone and rubber fins on the market are not as comfortable or as powerful as needed, or do not have a good ratio of power and effort.
