HOW WE SUPPORT LOCAL COMPETITIONS
While freediving as a way of life goes back hundreds of years, official freediving competitions have only been around since the 1970s. And as freediving grows in popularity, competitions naturally get more popular, too! As a solely freediving organization that provides gear, education, and training, Molchanovs supports competitions to help develop freediving as a sport and grow the freediving community by helping people learn about it.

Camotes Island, San Francisco, Philippines, 4 April 2023 - The very first edition of the AIDA Camotes Freediving Challenge has concluded.
The dive site featured a flat sea, calm currents, an average visibility of 25m (82ft), a maximum depth of 150m (492ft), and a newly constructed platform. Competition organizer, Camotes Freediving owner, and French National Record Holder Thibault Guignés and his team are all experienced athletes and safety divers, and received support from Superhome Freediving and John Folkvord from Panglao as the main judge. A total of 20 athletes from 14 different nationalities participated in the competition.

Rijeka, Croatia, 5 March 2023 - The annual Adriatic Pool Trophy, held this year in Rijeka, Croatia, has concluded.
The competition was held in the Kantrida swimming pool on the shore of the Adriatic Sea. Renowned for ideal diving conditions, Kantrida has previously hosted numerous European and World Championships.
Jeju, South Korea, 9 April 2023 - The AIDA Korea National Championship 2023 has concluded, and the results are in. This year’s and last year’s editions of the national championship were held at Jeju Stadium Indoor Pool, the same venue that will host the AIDA World Championship in June 2023.

Innsbruck, Austria, 3 March 2023 - The 10th AIDA Tyrolean Apnea Cup / Austrian Championship has concluded and the results are in. The competition occurred at a 25m USI Innsbruck swimming pool, 550 meters above sea level with an astonishing view of the Austrian Alps.
